NSW-based pie shop Garlo’s Pie outlets have traditionally been known to be the “blokey pie shop” but the brand has been revamped to appeal to its female customers.

In an aim to create a comfortable café style environment for its female customers, the company has created the Gourmet Bakehouse with new store fitouts and an extended menu.

“We’ve completely revamped the whole outfit,” owner Sean Garlick said. “Everything about the look and feel has changed from menus, signage right through to the light fittings and furniture.”

The Gourmet Bakehouse format now features a more contemporary and warm feel. Its staff are also now wearing new uniform sporting the GB logo. Meanwhile its menu new features sweet tarts, petite cupcakes and fluffy friands rounded off with full fare such as modern baguettes, sandwiches and of course his famous pies

The Mascot and Coogee sites have been completed and are trading as the new Gourmet Bakehouse. Eastgardens, Marrickville Metro and Parramatta will be re-launched over the next few months.

Garlo’s Pies has a store network of 13 locations across Sydney and its pie range is also now being sold in over 200 Coles Supermarkets throughout NSW.
