Frucor Beverages Australia has been recognised as a best employer by HR consulting firm Aon Hewitt.

It was one of only nine organisations in Australia to be honoured. The company’s New Zealand arm also got the nod as one of just two Kiwi organisations to get the title.

The business has been operating in Australia for the past 10 years and has more than 230 staff looking after brands such as V Energy Drink, Mizone and Evian.

Frucor Australia CEO Jonathon Moss says the company is always working to improve its business culture.

“We have been measuring climate and culture for 10 years here at Frucor – it goes directly to the core of the business, our people and our values,” he says.

“External recognition by Aon Hewitt is a fantastic milestone for us on this journey. We’ve certainly celebrated and now it’s time to push to the next level.”

While Frucor Australia HR director Dean Sappey says a unique approach helps the company to be one of the country’s best employers.

“We’re not afraid to challenge the status quo if it means we can make things better. We’ve taken leadership training out of the office and into challenging physical environments, we encourage staff to be straight up and honest with their opinions and ideas, and we believe in distributed leadership in order to create a successful company,” he says.
