Following the departure of CEO Don Grover earlier this year, Dymocks has appointed Steve Cox as the new managing director.

Bringing over 20 years management experience, Cox joined the company as general manager of buying, marketing and operations.

Cox said he will strive to uphold the Australian brand which has been around for over 130 years.

“There is no doubt that the challenges we face today are, as for many retailers, significant – however, we are fortunate; our locally owned and operated stores are close to their customer. Our stores are part of their local community and our owners understand the detail of what their customer is looking for and are best placed to deliver this to them,” he said.

“I look forward to ensuring Dymocks continues to grow sustainably; increasing market share and remaining at the forefront of the industry and ultimately providing our customers and readers the best possible in-store and online customer experience.”
