Hamilton Harbour has signed the first major tenant for its KSD commercial development, signalling its emergence as Brisbane’s newest business hub.

With construction now underway on KSD’s first commercial building, set to open in late 2012, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises has signed on to move its corporate headquarters there.

Hamilton Harbour project director John Campbell said welcoming Domino’s to the precinct was a significant and exciting milestone for developers Leighton Properties and Devine and followed the recent announcement of Woolworths as key retail tenant.

“Attracting major businesses likes Domino’s to KSD is set to boost the area as a major commercial hub and benefit the entire local economy,” said Campbell.

Domino’s has secured 2,513 square metres of commercial office space across two of the building’s five levels for its new headquarters.

Domino’s chief development officer, Pat McMichael, said 140 staff will move to KSD in early 2013 from the company’s current Albion headquarters.

“We are excited to be moving to a new office at Hamilton Harbour,” he said. “Growth in our business has seen us bring key functions in-house and we need additional space and better amenities to cater for our employees.”
