With Australia’s version of the U.S’ Cyber Monday sale – Click Frenzy – about to kick off online for the first time, David Jones has been busy organising one on its own.
The David Jones Christmas Frenzy is a one day shopping event that sees all David Jones stores in NSW, Victoria and the ACT trade until 10pm on Tuesday November 20 and QLD, WA and SA until 9pm, with offers available online at davidjones.com.au until midnight.
A David Jones spokesperson told RetailBiz while the company is interested in Click Frenzy they were keen to see how it went before signing on.
“We launched our new website: davidjones.com.au two weeks ago so we wanted to get more comfortable with our new online store before joining a program like this. So we came up with something better with Christmas Frenzy,” they said.
The offers as part of the Christmas Frenzy include deals on toys, Christmas decorations, women’s shoes, fragrance, home wares, fashion and many, many more.
As to how the deals differ to any of those offered throughout the year, especially Boxing Day sales, the spokesperson said: “Boxing Day marks the start of David Jones half yearly clearance and runs for two weeks. Christmas Frenzy is for one day only. Boxing Day offers are typically the best you will find at David Jones all year, however Christmas Frenzy gives families a great opportunity to get all their Christmas shopping done at a great value price”.
