Managing director of the General Pants Group Howard Goldberg will be leaving the company to join Country Road as their chief executive officer and board director.
Releasing a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, the company said Goldberg’ position will take effect 7 March 2011.
He has over 30 years of senior executive management experience in the retail and wholesale manufacturing industries in Australia. Goldberg also sits on the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Board as a non-executive director.
“Mr Goldberg has exceptional retail experience and a sound understanding of the Australian market place. We are delighted to welcome him to the business,” Simon Susman, Country Road chairman, said.
