Coles was recently recognised at the Australian Packaging Awards.

The supermarket retailer picked up a bronze in the Labelling category for the Coles Antipasto range and a bronze in the Sustainability category for the Coles Natural Spring Water range.

“This is a huge achievement for our business as they are our very first awards for Coles Brand packaging.  We were also the only retailer to be recognised at this year’s awards,” Coles said in a statement.

According to the company, the Coles Antipasto range has transparent labels allowing the product to be the main focus while still containing the needed information. Its Spring Water range is the lightest 600ml water bottle on the market, providing reducing in plastic, water and carbon footprint.

Organised by the Packaging Council of Australia, the awards provide the industry with a platform to showcase their designs to an international audience and encourage excellence and innovation.
