The Co-op Bookshop has partnered with Australian low-cost mobile service provider amaysim. The deal enables all Co-op members direct access to a range of high quality, low cost mobile service deals. 

“Students have been paying too much for their mobile phones for too long,” comments Greg Smith, Co-op’s chief marketing officer. “That’s why we have partnered with amaysim to offer our members (which include a great proportion of university students aged between 18 and 24) a no contracts based mobile solution that has the potential to cut their mobile phone costs in half.”
Rolf Hansen, founder and CEO of amaysim says that students have limited finances and deserve better deals.
“Students have a huge mobile appetite, but in reality they don’t have the budget to match and often end up falling victim to dreaded bill-shock,” he says. “When you combine this with the fact that mobile access is now as essential to students as text books and laptops, it makes sense for us to partner with the Co-op. Like amaysim, they’re all about giving customers a better deal and making it easy for people to get access to the services they need.”
As part of the launch, amaysim is offering Co-op members a special deal of 25 per cent off their first purchase of a range of amaysim mobile plans. The Co-op Bookshop will use its campus based retail network of 43 bookshops across Australia to both promote and offer recharges to the amaysim deals. It will also use its new website, social media and on campus promotions to promote this service to its members.
