Co-op acquires three more stores

The Co-op Bookshop has acquired three bookshops from Edith Cowan University Bookshops.

This expands the Co-op retail footprint to over 46 bookshops across the country.

“We’re absolutely delighted to soon have a presence at Edith Cowan University and we look forward to the development of strong relationships with students and staff both on campus and beyond for many years to come,” Peter Knock, The Co-op Bookshop CEO, said.
 
In addition to the on campus retailing, the Co-op will also take an active role in the development and support of the local student related sponsorships and scholarships.

“The addition of the Edith Cowan University bookshops now adds to our existing presence in Western Australian which currently includes the University of Western Australia and the University of Notre Dame Australia.” said Knock. “This acquisition is by no means the last for the Co-op.”
