Diversified investment and development company, CFC Group, is proud to announce the addition of Redstar Equipment, a specialist fixed-speed diesel equipment business, to their diverse portfolio of industrial companies effective
Redstar Equipment supply generators, compressors, welders, lighting towers, distribution boards and parts to many of Australia’s largest mining, construction, industrial, rental and government organisations. They were previously owned by Onsite Rental Group.
The CFC Group has interests in distribution, logistics, mining services, property and infrastructure. CFC Group owns Cape Crushing and Earthmoving, Centurion Transport, JCB Construction Equipment Australia and Underground Services Australia.
“This purchase will allow Redstar to align themselves with a likeminded company that values the importance of a quality product. We are looking forward to Redstar joining our diverse group and the opportunities this will bring to both our businesses,” says Executive Chairman of the CFC Group, Philip Cardaci.
Kevin Ennis, who continues as General Manager of Redstar Equipment says being part of the CFC Group will enable Redstar to access a broader range of markets across the country.
“This new ownership will allow Redstar to expand its presence across the nation, building opportunities for the business and our customers. Redstar already enjoys strong market share on the Western and Eastern seaboards, however under this new ownership Redstar becomes a truly national company,” Kevin says.
“Redstar will maintain its generator and general equipment range plus continue with its equipment services offering, but there is now more opportunity for growth for our customers, employees and the business itself.
“Thanks to the CFC Group’s national service network, we will have even wider exposure to crucial markets such as mining and construction and our customers will have access to services that CFC provide under that network, such as additional national support and technical advice.”
Redstar is the exclusive Australian importer/distributor of Denyo diesel generators and diesel welders, bringing Japanese quality and fuel efficiency to the Australian market.

Ninety per cent of the cost of running a generator relates to fuel efficiency, so the fact Denyo products are some of the most fuel efficient on the market means savings in time and money for many operators,” Kevin says.
“We are also the national distributor of Chicago Pneumatic (CP) diesel compressor range, offering robust German design, packed with features for reliability, flexibility and productivity to get the job done.
