With demand for its online services increasing, online catalogue business Catalogue Central recently appointed five new senior members to its staff.

The latest hires result from a spate of new business wins including Clive Peeters, Sportsgirl, Dodo, Not Quite Right, GNC, Pulse Pharmacy and Vitamin Me. Catalogue Central’s workforce has now grown to 16 during the past three months, with further appointments expected.

CEO and founder Robert Wong says the incredible growth Catalogue Central has experienced is in direct response to its sound business strategy and attractive marketing value proposition to retailers.

“In an environment where marketing budgets are tight, we’re able to provide retailers with superior value and accountability. With more than 88 per cent of Australians currently comparing goods online before purchase, retailers are quickly understanding the importance of including us as part of their marketing strategy,” he said.

And while many other traditional media business are facing an uncertain economic period, Wong is confident of Catalogue Central’s continued growth.

“We’ve already experienced 80 per cent year on year growth with current forecasts suggesting a continued rate of growth. We expect to outstrip most other online business categories in the next three years and are now putting in place the people to ensure we can handle that demand across the whole business.”

The new staff members include Matt Berriman (general manager), Matt Paine (sales account manager), Julian Gilchrist (online manager), Aoife Johnston (senior graphic designer/EDM campaign manager) and a new website developer, who will commence his role this week.
