Birkenhead Point

Sydney’s Birkenhead Point outlet centre has had a high-end makeover with the launch of a new premium fashion and lifestyle precinct.

The multi-million-dollar redevelopment has attracted luxury retailers including Coach, Ital Collezione (home to Dolce & Gabbana and Versace), Michael Kors and Zanerobe, alongside Australia’s only Bally and Harrolds standalone outlet stores.

It will also feature the first in-centre store from iconic Australian retailer Peter’s of Kensington.

Mirvac senior development manager, Christina Nelson, said the redevelopment was a response to the needs of local and international customers.

“This latest development responds to our customers’ wants and desires and greatly enhances the appeal of Birkenhead Point,” she said.

“We have improved the customer experience by delivering a sophisticated and contemporary palette of finishes in the main mall on Level 2, including new mall flooring and ceilings, bespoke furniture and shopfront upgrades, whilst embracing the heritage backdrop of this unique and much-loved building.”

Nelson said that since acquiring Birkenhead Point in 2014 Mirvac has focused on curating the right mix of outlet retailers, including premium brands.

“The newest additions to Birkenhead Point are testament to the centre’s unsurpassed position as Australia’s foremost premium outlet centre.”
