BIG W recently acquired its 100th Fujifilm Frontier Digital Minilab, which the retail chain has been installing throughout its stores since 2006.

BIG W photographic merchandise manager, Charlie Davey, said Rockhampton was the 100th BIG W store to install a Fujifilm minilab.

“With more than 150 BIG W stores throughout Australia, we are well on the way to ensuring our customers have access to the highest quality digital photo printing equipment available.

“Fujifilm’s new sit-down kiosks let our customers sit in comfort while working on their photo print and photo gift orders,” said Davey.

Fujifilm senior category manager – hardware, Daniel Paul, said BIG W installed its first Frontier Digital Minilab at the Bankstown store in 2006.

“While there has been a massive digital minilab rollout program since that time, BIG W has also recently updated its photographic equipment accordingly, following advancements in technology,” said Paul.

There are currently more than 6000 Fujifilm photo kiosks in operation throughout Australia, with the majority of kiosk prints derived from digital minilabs.

“Professionally printed digital photographs are still considered the safest way to ensure images are available to show family generations in years to come,” said Paul.
