Microsoft's Asia Pacific president Tracey Fellows has quit and is packing her bags to join Australia Post.
Fellows, who was previously Microsoft Australia managing director, will be Australia Post’s first executive general manager for its communications management services business unit, which combines its mail services and e-services business units.
Australia Post spokesperson told RetailBiz the company was really excited to have attracted an executive of Fellow’s calibre.
“She will be leading a very important part of our business at a time of significant change, as Australian businesses and consumers increasingly shift to digital forms of communication,” she said.
“Tracey’s background in technology and her strong sales and marketing experience, working closely with large enterprises and government agencies, made her the standout candidate.”
Fellows’ appointment comes part of Australia Post’s move into the digital era with heavy focus on parcel deliveries, which has experienced exponential growth due to the increase in consumers shopping online.
