State finalists for the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) Australian Retail Awards have been announced.
Russell Zimmerman, ARA executive directior, said state finalists faced stiff competition with national winners in all categories to be announced at the ARA Australian Retail Awards Breakfast next Tuesday 21 September in Sydney.
The state finalists and the categories are:
2010 Australian Young Retailer of the Year state finalists:
Victoria -Dean Chapman (Clark Rubber)
Tasmania – – Lisa Tedeschi (Sebachi and Mint Bath and Body)
New South Wales Young – Carly Adams (By Dezign)
Queensland – Charles Hammersla (Kmart)
2010 Australian Independent Retailer of the Year state finalists:
New South Wales – Just For Him
South Australia – Sydney Street Casual
Victoria – aToMik Green
2010 ARA Retail Institute Australian Retail Graduate of the Year state finalists:
Queensland – Tracey Gallagher (Issada Cosmetics)
Victoria – Lisa Balakas (Ripe Maternity)
New South Wales – Rachel Alleck (ABC Retail)
South Australia – Kathy Mansfield (Angus and Robertson)
Western Australia- Renae Napolitano (Dimario made in Italy)
Other awards to be announced at the ARA Australian Retail Awards breakfast include the Oracle Australian Retailer of the Year and the Charter Security Retail Innovator of the Year.
The ARA Australian Retail Awards program is designed to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in the growth and development of their businesses and their contributions towards retailing in Australia.
