Apple is opening its second store in NSW, less than two months after the opening of its flagship store on George Street in Sydney.

The new store, located in Chatswood, features a similar product range including the new iPhone 3G – which combines all the features of iPhone plus 3G networking, built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services – and iPhone 2.0 software, which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs over 800 third party applications available through the new App Store.

Visitors to the store get a chance to test-drive Apple’s entire product line including iPod touch and the MacBook Air, and can also take advantage of free services including face-to-face support and creative help at the Genius Bar, plus workshops and special programs for kids.

Every Apple store offers personal training through Apple’s One to One program with in-depth sessions on a wide range of topics, from getting started with a Mac or iPod to advancing your moviemaking or digital photography skills.

The new store will open at 9am this Saturday.
