Apparel Group has acquired the JAG brand from Fusion Retail Brands.

The parent company that owns Sportscraft, Saba and Willow has confirmed the acquisition, which is subject to the final completion of due diligence, of JAG will help continue the company’s multi-brand portfolio. According to the company, its existing portfolio continues to grow market share despite retail headwinds.

“We are thrilled to be adding JAG to our portfolio of iconic Australian brands,” Daniel Bracken, Apparel Group CEO, said.

“It is the perfect fit for the Apparel Group. We will use our significant experience and infrastructure to build the JAG brand into a key retail destination “

JAG was part of Fusion Retail Brands Group since 2011. The brand currently has 27 standalone stores and is distributed across 68 Myer stores and a number of independent wholesale accounts across Australia.

With the integration of JAG into Apparel Group, the brand will benefit from Apparel Group’s experience in marketing and brand management, coupled with the breadth of distribution across all channels in the Australian market will provide the infrastructure to build and continue to develop the JAG business.
