The Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign (AMAG) has appointed Astrid Wemyss-Smith as its new Victorian sales manager.
Astrid will help build the company’s profile by promoting its trademark to new businesses and provide customer support to companies already licensed in Victoria to use it, particularly in the food and beverage, personal products and building and construction sectors.
“Astrid joins AMAG with a tremendous sales record in advertising and media and I’m confident she will make a valuable contribution to the campaign and its work to help businesses promote and shoppers identify authentic Australian products and produce,” AMAG chief executive Ian Harrison said.
More than 570 businesses in Victoria are licensed to use the AMAG logo which research shows is recognised by 94 per cent of shoppers and trusted by 85 per cent over any other country of origin identifier such as flags, maps and pictures of animals.
