Aldi has been honoured as supermarket of the year while The Good Guys has taken top spot for electrical retail stores as the 2012 Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.

The awards, which covered thirty five categories, recognised Australian businesses who are leaders in their industry for customer satisfaction. The winners were concluded based satisfaction ratings amongst all of its competitors for the most months in 2011.

Stefan Kopp, ALDI managing director-buying said, said their focus on quality and value resonates strongly with customers.

“With the cost of living increasing for Australian consumers, we want to ensure that we stretch their grocery dollars further, whilst also delivering on quality. ALDI’s stringent quality control processes ensure all of our exclusive brands are tested and sampled to compete with leading brands on quality, yet at a significantly lower price,” he said.

Similarly, The Good Guys, which outperformed Betta Electrical, Dick Smith, Fantastic Furniture, Freedom, Harvey Norman, Ikea and Retravision, said the win is a reflection of the important role customer satisfaction plays in retail.

Michael Ford, CEO of The Good Guys, said the award represents the hard work and determination from their team members.

“Customer satisfaction is at the core of everything we do as a business. To win this award means a great amount to The Good Guys, who, across the country, work tirelessly and diligently to delight our customers,” he said.
