For the second year in a row, ALDI has been awarded Canstar Blue’s Supermarket of the Year 2012 for overall customer satisfaction.

The award was based on the results of a survey of 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. Consumer insights were taken from the Canstar Blue survey, which rates products and services to help consumers make the best purchasing decisions for their needs and appoint winners based on customer satisfaction levels.

Rebecca Logan, manager of Canstar Blue, congratulated ALDI for achieving the highest rating and explained the customer insights that resulted from the survey.

“Some of the biggest names in the supermarket space went head to head in our recent survey; and consumers told us ALDI was the cream of the crop with five star ratings for overall customer satisfaction, value for money and the quality of their products.

“ALDI customers reported the highest level of overall satisfaction of all supermarket shoppers and they were particularly fond of the supermarket’s quality, value and great deals – three big drivers for consumers in today’s market,” Logan said.

Stefan Kopp, ALDI managing director of buying, said ALDI’s focus on quality and value resonates strongly with customers.

“We are honoured to again receive this award and take pride in the fact that we are able to offer our customers a complete shopping experience, including price, quality, product range and service,” he said.
