Alannah Hill walks away from her own label

Australian designer Alannah Hill has resigned from her position with Factory X, the parent company that owns the fashion label Alannah Hill.

Factory X, however, will continue to own and operate the 42 Alannah Hill stores across the country without Hill’s input or designs.

Principal partner and co-founder David Heeney thanked Hill for her 17 years of service.

:We have been working on evolving this brand and we’re excited to be rejuvenating and reinvigorating the label," he said.

"For the loyal Alannah Hill customers, you will have seen a fresh approach, as well as the traditional Alannah Hill signature, in the new Summer collection currently in stores, which has been most successful."

Factory X is also the parent company of other brands, including Gorman, Dangerfield and Jack London.
