adidas has opened its first flagship store in Australia at 130 Pitt Street, Sydney, the first of its kind in Australia and New Zealand to house the full adidas range including sportswear, originals and performance all in one place.

The flagship store was officially opened to Australian consumers following an exclusive ribbon cutting ceremony and party. Key adidas representatives and athletes were in attendance including Matildas players Mary Fowler and Caitlin Foord, NRL star Nathan Cleary and Roosters player Sam Walker.

The 1,103 square metre store spans two floors with the ground level reserved for sportswear and performance featuring key lines, including the adidas by Stella McCartney Collection. While upstairs is home to adidas’ originals range and a ‘blue room’ to reflect the signature blue of the adidas range.

The design and art by Australian artists pay homage to Sydney’s famous landscapes like Bondi Beach, the Australian Outback, and native flora which brings a unique touch to the store’s aesthetic.

adidas senior director of brand, Shannon Morgan said, “Sport and fashion are global languages that span across borders. We want to embrace that, while also celebrating Sydney through the local store design. We’re thrilled to be able to bring the full adidas range together within a store that truly reflects the energy and creativity shared by both the adidas brand and its customers.”
