Regina Hoekstra who has been the acting head of retail since December has been appointed head of ABC Retail.
Robert Patterson, director of ABC Commercial, said since Hoekstra’s time at the company she has made an outstanding contribution to all retail channels.
She will be assuming responsibility for setting direction and seeking new strategic opportunities to revitalise the ABC Shops, ABC Centres and online business and move into a more sustainable business model, with a view to positioning ABC Retail as a premium brand for quality entertainment and ABC content, and a one-stop shop for the entire family.
Regina gained extensive retail experience prior to joining the ABC in 2000 and in the 13 years with the ABC has performed in senior roles, including National Shops Manager and Business Operations Manager. Since taking on the role, Regina has been focused on the strategic direction of ABC Retail and implemented a number of changes to the current organisational structure of the Retail Support Office to achieve a business model that ensures the effective and efficient management of ABC Retail going forward.
