It is looking more and more likely that Samsung Electronics is planning to open a shop in George Street, Sydney, moving into the recently vacated space previously occupied by clothing retailer French Connection UK. The site is adjacent to the Myer department store that sits on the corner of George and Market Streets.
George Street has become an exciting retail hub since Apple opened its flagship store in 2008, with the recently opened LV Maison store adding a luxury lustre to this area of the CBD.
In a statement Samsung Electronics Australia said: “It is currently finalising some exciting retail plans for the Australian market and an announcement would be made soon.”
