Buy now pay later provider Humm has announced partnerships with Myer, JB Hi Fi, IKEA and Strandbags, a move which could give them an upper hand on competitors. 

The partnership has seen the group’s shares rise 14 per cent, with the provider now rivalling Afterpay and Zippay.

The group unveiled the string of new deals on  Wednesday, taking their total number of retail partners to 13,000.

The move also saw the buy now, pay later provider partner with Solomon’s Carpets and a number of health groups including dental, hearing and fertility clinics.

The owner of the flexible payment provider, FlexiGroup, are seen as the original founders of buy now, pay later in Australia.

The group, which has been operating in Australia for more than two decades, offers interest-free spending on items from $1 to $30,000.

Humm accounts for 17 per cent of the market share of buy now and pay later services in Australia.
