Australian retailers will have the chance to hear directly from an Amazon representative at an event held in Sydney next year.

The organisers of the Retail Leaders Forum announced that Amazon vice president, global innovation policy and communications Paul Misener will give a keynote presentation titled ‘Think Different – Strategies for Tomorrow’s Consumer Experiences’, which will reveal the approaches Amazon has used to deliver global growth.

Misener has been with Amazon for over 17 years. He served as the company’s vice president for global public policy from February 2000 to May 2016.

Now in its seventh year, the Retail Leaders Forum will also feature local names including CEO speakers from Coles, Super Retail Group, Kmart, JB Hi-Fi, Petbarn, David Jones, Metcash, Country Road and Office Works.

The home grown retailers will be joined by an impressive international line up including: Michael Ward, CEO, Harrods (UK); Eric Petersen, senior vice president global brand, Lululemon (CA); Whitney Walker, general manager, stores, Sonos (US); and Gwen Morrison, CEO, The Store (US).

The Retail Leaders Forum will take place on 6 and 7 March, 2018 at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney.
