ARA Australian Retail Awards

2017 eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards.

The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is on the hunt for local retailers who think outside the shop for the 2018 eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards.

First held in the 1970s, the awards recognise excellence in retail across three categories—customer experience, people in retail and outstanding retailers in their field.

There are are 13 awards up for grabs including store fit-out of the year, young retailer of the year, retail employer of the year and national retailer of the year.

The theme for 2018 is Retail Realm, which ARA executive director Russell Zimmerman said is about focusing on retailers who think outside the shop.

“With retail now touching every aspect of consumers’ lives, this year’s ARA Retail Awards will search for retailers who encompass every element of the Retail Realm within their business as the dynamic nature of retail means businesses need to engage with consumers through a myriad of channels.”

The awards will be held on Thursday 18 October at the Myer Mural Hall in Melbourne, with the founder of online experience retailer RedBalloon, Naomi Simson, to give the keynote speech.

Entries close 10 August 2018.
