SAGEM Australasia has recently partnered with National Australia Bank to announce the launch of NAB’s newest range of EFTPOS terminals.

The latest SAGEM Monétel chosen by NAB incorporates an “all-in-one” desktop terminal, combining high processing power and broadband communication, and a mobile device addressing the new requirements of restaurateurs, large retailers or trades people “on the move”.

There is expected to be an initial rollout of more than 30,000 new terminals in the next 12 months. NAB General Manager of Transactional Products, Mr Peter Roeleven said: “NAB chose to partner with SAGEM for a number of reasons: we were impressed by their very successful track-record in European markets, but most importantly they were able to provide us with an EFTPOS terminal that will best meet the needs of our customers.”

Gilles Novel, General Manager of the Security Division of SAGEM Australasia, commented: “We are very proud to be associated with National Australia Bank in this ambitious project, while being recognised as a technology innovator. I believe we share the same vision on market evolution, which has driven our core strategy for the last twenty years. This partnership will also strengthen our company’s activity in South East Asia-Pacific”.
