The Queen Victoria Building has taken out Gold in 2012 Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards.

The iconic Sydney shopping destination was awarded a Gold Marketing Excellence: Public Relation Award for its ‘Under the Dome’ program in 2011.

The ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards recognise excellence within the Asia Pacific region’s shopping centre industry. Awards are given for outstanding achievement in marketing as well as design and development of retail properties and retail store design.

QVB’s ‘Under the Dome’ program was a 12 month series of cultural events that took place underneath the building’s historic dome structure. The program of events was designed by the QVB’s marketing team alongside public relations agency One Green Bean.

Taryn McGurk, Ipoh group marketing manager, said the award is testament to the creativity and hard work of the Ipoh staff and One Green Bean.
