Myer advises Judy Coomber, group general manager merchandise (Womenswear, Youth, Childrenswear and Cosmetics), has resigned and will leave the business.
Myer CEO Bernie Brookes said Judy goes with the company's best wishes as she moves on to her next career challenge.
“Judy has made a great contribution over her six years with Myer, she has worked tirelessly on the turnaround of Myer from an unprofitable business to a leading Australian retailer. We wish her well,” he said.
Adam Stapleton, group general manager merchandise, will takeover Coomber’s place to lead all of the merchandise teams and now has accountability for all merchandise portfolios.
“As joint heads of merchandise, Adam and Judy have worked very closely together on all of our merchandise strategies, overseeing our entire brand portfolio, including the introduction of new brands, Myer Exclusive Brands, acquisition of brands as well as price harmonisation work and our progression to a true omni-channel retailer.
“We are really pleased with the depth of talent that has been developed and we are certain that the business will not miss a beat,” Brookes said.
As part of these arrangements, Nicole Naccarella, head of Womenswear since 2009, will take on the additional responsibilities of the Youth, Childrenswear, Footwear and Accessories, Intimate Apparel and Concession businesses.
