From a single store in Darlinghurst five years, Mexican food chain Mad Mex has now grown to a current count of 30 and it’s looking to expand further.

The company has projected that it will have 40 to 50 stores nationally by the end of 2013.

The company recently rolled out one new stores in Sydney and one in the ACT with plans for another two in the coming weeks.

CEO and founder of Mad Mex, Clovis Young, believes these openings herald an exciting phase in the business, and is the perfect time for people to consider owning a Mad Mex outlet.

“When we moved to Australia from California in 2007, we saw a gap in the market and wanted to give Australians the fresh and quality Mexican food they deserve,” he said.

“After months of planning, the concept of Mad Mex was born. The business growth we’ve experienced is staggering and exciting. We’re looking forward to the next few years and beyond”.
