Premium entertainment hub, Kingpin has introduced Australia’s first immersive cocktail exhibition at its Crown venue in Melbourne, open now until 12 March 2023.
The ‘Art of Mixology’ allows guests to experience mixology with interactive spaces designed by local artists including Nick Azidis, Mikaela Stafford and Ryan L Foote who have previously featured in major galleries such as the Tate Modern and the National Gallery of Victoria.
Kingpin has commissioned six local artists to interpret their signature premium cocktails, creating a unique visual and sensory experience.
Commenting on the ‘Art of Mixology’, Kingpin chief operating officer, Belinda Falzon said, “When entering a bar, traditionally adults will peruse a simple 2D menu and then visit the bartender to order their drink of choice but with this exhibition, we are transforming that linear process into an immersive art experience. In an Australian first, guests are invited on a sensory journey through our regal cocktail menu before selecting their drink of choice.”
Kingpin has worked closely with award-winning production agency VANDAL and R L Foote Design Studio to curate a mix of local and emerging artists to execute the vision of the cocktail exhibition.
“We’re delighted to be working with Kingpin to bring together local emerging and esteemed artists bringing to life their interpretations of these statement cocktails. Each artist has been carefully selected to create the most spectacular multi-dimensional experience for guests,” R L Foote Design Studios’ Ryan L Foote said.
The exhibition is only available to guests above 18 years and will be shown exclusively in Melbourne for a limited time.
