Ikea has partnered with hipages.com.au to add value to their customer’s experience when buying a kitchen.

When Ikea customers buy a kitchen they are offered hipages.com.au to help them find the right tradesman to help install their kitchen. The search service will find the best for the customer based on their demands, location and budget.

The service also utilises customer questionnaires to power their feedback engine that ensures its customers deal with quality tradesmen.
According to Alastair Morgan, Ikea service products manager, the company has identified that a key part to its growth is its kitchen business.

“To meet our growth targets we are ensuring our Ikea kitchen range focuses on Australian relevance and affordability requirements,” he said.

“We see great potential in offering a service that makes available qualified tradespeople who can help meet the specific needs of our customers when it comes to their kitchen renovation.

“hipages.com.au helps connect our customers with an established network of qualified tradespeople across our IKEA owned stores in Queensland, NSW and Victoria. Together we share a philosophy of putting the customer at the centre of everything.”

hipages.com.au, which has an extensive network of builders, electricians and plumbers, also provides comprehensive support to address any customer queries or concerns. At any time the customer can message, call or chat to resolve service or supplier issues.

According to Morgan, the service will be available on the Ikea website, in-store and through its contact centre.

“We want to strike a balance between a self-service set up and a relevant service product range, to ensure market relevance by satisfying different customer needs,” he said.

“Together we have identified key contact points where our customers will meet this service through their kitchen journey.”

Morgan also said the partnership complements the company’s strategy to make its kitchen business more relevant and affordable, where it has reduced its kitchen prices by up to 25 per cent.

The hipages.com.au service will be available throughout IKEA stores in NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
