Fastway Couriers has appointed Liz McConnon as marketing manager who will provide further support to its Sydney-based franchise team.

McConnon is based at Fastway's Australian franchise support office and is responsible for initiating and managing marketing activities to drive sales growth; enhancing customer retention and acquisition and driving franchisee recruitment at a national and regional level.

"I work closely with Fastway's Global Marketing Manager, Christine Guy, in order to assist with the franchise's revitalised marketing strategy.  One of our main objectives is to continue expanding our business in the online retail sector," McConnon said.

McConnon, who emigrated from Ireland to take up the role, has been with the company since July 2008. .  In her previous role as Fastway Couriers Ireland's national marketing manager, McConnon was responsible for business development, marketing, and engaging with online retailers. 

Fastway Couriers Australia CEO Richard Thame said McConnon's history within Fastway’s global network makes her invaluable asset to the team in Sydney.
