Big issues affecting family life will be debated in shopping centres across Australia as part of a new initiative from Lend Lease.
The Family Life Forum series will be held in 13 of the company’s regional and metropolitan malls and curated by columnist Mia Freedman and the team from online community Mamamia.
“The issues affecting families today are among the most important – and often puzzling – that we face as parents,” Freedman says. “Sharing tips, tricks and expert reassurance is a great way to navigate the maze.”
Each forum is expected to be a lively and eye opening debate covering topics such as health, education and safety.
“Young families are the heartland of our local Lend Lease shopping centres,” says Michael Dockery, general manager marketing for retail at lend Lease.
“Apart from the obvious products and services that we offer families, we wanted to help families in an interesting and informative way. We have briefed Mia and the team to challenge the audience so that every member will leave with new insights and ways of looking at their family life.”
Freedman, a mother of three, is a popular newspaper columnist and commentator with a passion for issues impacting Australian families. She will be joined by lifestyle expert Paula Joye, a married mother of two girls; Jo Lamble, relationship expert and resident psychologist on the Today show and Rebecca Sparrow, also a mum, newspaper columnist and author who is a regular speaker at high schools on her specialist topics of resilience, bullying, body-image and the importance of ‘finding your tribe’.
