Myer and Commonwealth Bank customers will be rewarded with points for using their Commonwealth Bank Awards credit card in-store at Myer.
Awards members can instantly redeem their points at any Myer store nationwide. From 23 November 2012, customers can use their Awards points to purchase merchandise by all or part payment using Points Plus Pay – on all products sold in Myer stores.
David Singh, Commonwealth Bank's general manager credit cards, said the collaboration gave customers instant fulfilment and increased choice over how they use Awards points.
“For the first time consumers will be able to use Commonwealth Awards points at Myer stores when and where they want to purchase products they desire. This is another great example of our commitment to making Awards points redemption more rewarding, delivering greater value and enhanced benefits for Commonwealth Bank customers,” he said.
The new Awards program will give Commonwealth Bank’s 1.3 million Awards members the opportunity to spend their points on thousands of fashion, electronic, beauty and home products sold at Myer department stores nationwide.
Myer One members will also earn MYER one shopping credits on purchases made using Commonwealth Awards points
Bernie Brookes, Myer CEO, described the collaboration between Commonwealth Bank and Australia’s largest department store network as truly consumer-led.
“We’re excited to be working with Australia’s biggest financial services provider to give consumers instant rewards on their retail purchases. Point-of-sale redemption will give over a million customers more ways to be rewarded as they shop at Myer stores around the country,” he said.
