The first of its kind was launched London, now the pop-up mall Boxpark will open in Amsterdam.

Summer 2013 Boxpark will be located in NDSM – a former welding hanger in the now defunct NDSM shipyard. The unique building has been likened to an industrial cathedral due to its immense height, skylights and incredible architectural features making it an ideal home for the Boxpark retail experience.

Originally Lasloods was the final station in the ship building process where the parts of a ship where welded together and the boat launched from land into the water. Boxpark Amsterdam uses the heritage of the space as an inspiration for its future by creating a launch pad for brands to offer new and exciting product to a receptive and captive audience.

Boxpark Amsterdam will house 121 shipping containers to create unique, low cost, low risk ‘Box Shops.’ They will be laid out together and home to a unique mix of International and Dutch fashion brands, galleries and cafes.
