The founders behind Australian burger chain, Betty’s Burgers have launched an entirely new burger concept at the newly expanded Marrickville Metro shopping centre.

Slim’s Quality Burger is a contemporary-classic burger offering inspired by 1950s and ‘60s Americana built on a simple statement, “quality burgers done right”. Customers can enjoy fresh, simple, quality ingredients assembled with the utmost care by the Slim’s team.

“In the vast Australian burger market, we too often see venues that are built on gimmicks and fads. Whether it’s the cheesiest burger or doughnut buns, we think Aussies have come full circle and want something that is simple, affordable, and made from only the highest quality ingredients. Slim’s Quality Burger has been built on exactly that,” co-founder and director, Nik Rollison said.

To bring out the best in their burgers, 100% Australian Angus beef patties are used which is perfectly balanced with fresh toppings, and Slim’s signature sauces. There is also a veggie burger made with a plant-based patty and vegan garlic mayonnaise. There will also be a gluten free option available.

Crisp, house-cut fries are a specialty of Slim’s Quality Burger with only seasonal varieties of the best, locally sourced potatoes used, sliced fresh and fried to order. They can be simply seasoned with salt or add-ons like cheddar cheese, grilled onion and maple smoked bacon.

Like the rest of the menu, the desserts are simple with four classic sundaes: Hot Fudge, Salted Caramel, Strawberry and an Ice Cream Cup.

“Slim’s represents a fresh twist on the traditional fast-food restaurant with an emphasis on quality and freshness. It won’t be the ‘run-of-the mill’ burger joint,” Rollison added.

Customers can expect a lively open kitchen and retro décor reminiscent of the mid-50’s, in addition to outdoor dining. The classic design is built with modern touches blended with the present and a peek into the future.

“We’re incredibly excited for Slim’s Quality Burger to join our Marrickville Metro community, bringing our customers another great place to eat on Smidmore Street. We know that this new concept’s emphasis on quality and freshness will resonate with our loyal customer base,” Marrickville Metro centre manager, Mike Charlton said.
