American Express Delicious Month Out (AEDMO), a month-long food and experiences festival, has come back this May, inviting customers to dine out and support the hospitality industry.
Now in its sixth year, the festival has expanded to Canberra for the first time, joining Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.
To open the event, globally recognised pastry chef and chocolatier Amaury Guichon will make his Sydney debut to present his signature chocolate works.
From May 8 to 10, between 10am and 5pm, a pop-up at 20 Martin Place will offer visitors the chance to purchase limited-edition pieces. The first 100 American Express card members each day will receive a complimentary chocolate creation.
For two nights only on May 9 and 10, American Express card members can extend their sweet experience at the exclusive Amex Dessert Bar by Amaury Guichon and award-winning cocktail bar Maybe Sammy, located on Level 16 of 20 Martin Place.
The one-off bookable event features a bespoke dessert cocktail crafted by Guichon and Maybe Sammy, served alongside an apéritif or après-dinner treat. Sessions start from 5pm, with tickets available for $50 per person.
“We’re incredibly proud of the impact this campaign has in supporting the Australian dining industry every year and that our American Express card members get right behind it,” said Naysla Edwards, American Express Vice President of Brand, Marketing and Member Experience.
“In fact, 69 percent of spend at participating venues in the 2024 AEDMO campaign was from American Express card members that were new to the venue.”
American Express is bringing back its exclusive card member offer, now available at more than 55,000 participating venues across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and for the first time, Canberra.
From April 30 to June 1, card members can receive 20% back, up to $25 per card, on eligible purchases.
