Westfield Burwood has expanded its retail mix with the opening of new stores on the Level 3 precinct, featuring ALDI, JB Hi-Fi, Nike, and rebel. The launch forms part of a refresh of the centre, which includes modernised interiors, new seating areas, and updated landscaping.
rebel and Nike celebrated their openings at Westfield Burwood with in-centre customer events on October 9. Door prizes were offered and Wests Tigers Player Alex Twal made an appearance, while Nike hosted an in-house DJ, a coffee cart and refreshment station, along with a ‘Sneaky’ giveaway, rewarding the first 100 footwear shoppers with a complimentary pack of Sneaky Wipes.
After the redevelopment of David Jones Westfield Burwood in late 2024, the openings of Aje, Kookai, and Stylerunner have established the centre as a preferred shopping destination for Australian contemporary fashion in the Inner West. These retailers join a selection of brands such as Billini and Libertine Perfumery, and enhanced stores experiences from MECCA, Industrie, and Lorna Jane.
On Level 2, a ‘Spend & Vend’ and Plinko machine will be available, giving participants the chance to win retailer vouchers, movie tickets, and other prizes. The program of free, family-friendly entertainment and activities will be hosted every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, from October 11 to November 2.
“Evolving the retail offering at Westfield Burwood is an important part of our customer experience. It’s how we continue to meet the needs and interests of our community,” said Chris Mitchell, Westfield Burwood Centre Manager.
“We’ve listened to our customers, and we’re very excited to welcome Aldi, JB Hi-Fi, Nike, and rebel to our destination. These new arrivals reflect our ongoing focus on providing a fantastic centre offering that creates more reasons for our customers to visit.”
