Super Retail Group has appointed Paul Bradshaw as Group Managing Director and CEO, effective November 1, 2025, following the termination of Anthony Heraghty last month.
In September, the company announced that Heraghty had been terminated as Managing Director and CEO effective immediately after the board received information about his relationship with the company’s former chief human resources officer.
“In light of this new information, the board has concluded Mr. Heraghty’s prior disclosures were not satisfactory,” the company said in an ASX filing at the time.
“The board has exercised its discretion to lapse Mr. Heraghty’s incentives, which includes all unvested incentives and vested but unexercised rights.” The board said it would continue to assess any implications arising from the matter.
Super Retail Group, the parent company of Supercheap Auto, Rebel, BCF and Macpac, said Bradshaw’s appointment followed a global and local search process focused on leadership continuity and strategic consistency.
Bradshaw is currently Managing Director of BCF, a position he has held since joining the group in 2019. He brings more than 30 years of retail leadership experience in Australia and the UK across operations, strategy, and store development.
Under his leadership, BCF’s sales have grown 85 per cent, and profit before tax has increased almost threefold.
Chair of the Board Judith Swales said Bradshaw’s appointment reflected his strong performance and customer-centric leadership.
“The Board is pleased to appoint Paul as our next Group Managing Director and CEO. Paul
has an exceptional understanding of retail, leads with a clear focus on the customer, and is
highly regarded by his team and peers,” Swales said.
“The Board is confident Paul will lead Super Retail Group into its next phase of growth,
providing for continuity of strategy and execution, while remaining true to our vision and
values.”
Bradshaw said it is a privilege to lead a business he knows well.
“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved as a team and excited about the opportunity to lead Super Retail Group through its next chapter. My focus will remain on delivering value for our customers, supporting our team, advancing our culture and driving sustainable returns for shareholders,” Bradshaw said.
Bradshaw succeeds interim CEO David Burns, who will return to his role as CFO when the appointment takes effect.
In conjunction with the appointment, BCF’s current GM of Retail Operations, Michael Wassman, has been promoted to Managing Director of BCF, also effective November 1, 2025.
