Ofload, a digital freight and logistics platform in Australia, has appointed Dean Newman as its new COO.
The appointment is expected to strengthen Ofload’s executive team as the company prepares for its next phase of growth and national expansion. Newman brings over 30 years of experience in supply chain transformation, operational leadership, and digital enablement.
Before joining Ofload, Newman served as Director of Primary ConnectX and Innovation at Woolworths Group.
He also previously served as President and Chair of the Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI), Head of Supply Chain at Staples Australia and UGL, and Global COO at Tee-Zed Products.
During his time working at Woolworths, he led the design and launch of a nationally recognised digital trading platform and contributed to significant commercial and digital transformation initiatives, which enhanced operational agility and improved customer outcomes in an extensive logistics environment.
“Dean’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Ofload’s journey. He brings unmatched industry insight, deep operational experience, and a proven track record in both digital transformation and execution. Dean’s leadership will be instrumental to our continued growth and development,” said Geoffroy Henry, Ofload Founder and CEO.
“I’m excited to join at such a pivotal time and help drive the next phase of growth, as we scale nationally to deliver smarter, faster, and more sustainable freight outcomes for the businesses and carriers who rely on us,” Newman said.
