Nick Scali has announced that chair and non-executive director John Ingram will retire from the board at the conclusion of the company’s Annual General Meeting on October 29, 2025.
Ingram joined the board prior to Nick Scali’s IPO in 2004 and has played a central role in the furniture retailer’s growth and strategic evolution over the past two decades.
“We thank John for his dedicated leadership, long standing commitment and contribution to the company. John has been instrumental to the growth of the Company. His oversight during periods of significant growth and change has helped shape the Company’s strategic direction,” said Anthony Scali, Nick Scali Managing Director and CEO.
“As we transition to the next phase, I remain focused on driving strategic execution and delivering long-term shareholder value.”
Following Ingram’s retirement, the board has appointed Scali as executive chair to lead the company’s next phase of growth. Current independent non-executive director William (Bill) Koeck has been appointed deputy chair and lead independent director.
Both Scali and Koeck will assume their new roles at the conclusion of the AGM, with all directors continuing in their current positions until that time.
