GPC Asia Pacific has selected RELEX Solutions to transform its supply chain operations, introducing advanced forecasting and replenishment tools across its 600 stores and 17 distribution centres.
A subsidiary of the U.S.-based Genuine Parts Company, GPC Asia Pacific operates across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, servicing a diverse customer base from retail to industrial sectors. The business manages more than two million SKUs, making supply chain efficiency a core strategic priority.
With the goal of optimising inventory, reducing working capital, and maintaining high product availability, GPC Asia Pacific will replace legacy ERP systems and manual processes with RELEX’s AI- and machine learning-powered platform.
Previously, the company’s reliance on spreadsheets, disconnected data, and manual order reviews contributed to excess stock, inconsistent availability, and margin pressures.
“The speed of processing is critical as our business grows in complexity,” said Jon Longbottom, Chief Supply Chain Officer at GPC Asia Pacific. “We were thoroughly impressed after seeing RELEX’s pooled forecasting models and inventory optimisation in action.”
RELEX’s platform allows GPC Asia Pacific to unify multiple brands and operations under a single system, delivering real-time data visibility and enabling automation of key functions including promotion planning, allocation, and seasonal inventory management. Its ability to process millions of data points in minutes is especially vital given the company’s extensive product range.
The rollout includes RELEX’s Configuration Kit, which gives GPC full control to adapt the solution to its specific needs without costly development or long lead times.
“The configurability of the RELEX solution helps GPC Asia Pacific adjust everything exactly to their needs,” said Stefano Scandelli, General Manager of Manufacturing at RELEX Solutions.
“Our platform automates countless decisions and actions that take up resources when done manually, offering the best return on investment.”
