Fujitsu Limited has completed its acquisition of GK Software.
Operating in 60 countries, GK works with more than a quarter of the top 50 global retailers and is recognised for its leadership in the retail sector, particularly in POS and SaaS solutions, including AI-powered price optimisation.
With the acquisition, the two companies will expand their collaboration, with Fujitsu providing technologies such as Fujitsu Kozuchi, Data Intelligence PaaS, and Dynamic SCM, and its global delivery capabilities like high-precision demand forecasting to enhance value for customers.
GK’s retail technology will form the foundation of the Consumer Experience pillar within Fujitsu Uvance, a range of solutions designed to drive business growth, address societal challenges, and strengthen Uvance’s presence in the global retail market.
GK’s management structure will remain unchanged, with Michael Scheibner remaining as CEO and Chairman of the Board, and Michael Jaszczyk as Chief Digital Transformation Officer, supporting stable leadership and continued growth.
“This marks a major step forward in Fujitsu’s transformation through Fujitsu Uvance and underlines our strong commitment to growth in key industries,” said Yoshinami Takahashi, Corporate Executive Officer, Corporate Vice President, COO, and Head of Global Solutions.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead and confident that, together with GK, we will deliver even greater value to customers worldwide.”
