eBay Australia will showcase archival pieces from leading designers including Aje, Bianca Spender, Lee Mathews, Romance Was Born and Nagnata at its Pre-Loved Runway Show during Australian Fashion Week.

The looks will be styled by celebrity stylist and pre-loved advocate Jess Pecoraro.

eBay noted that Australians are embracing pre-loved fashion at unprecedented levels with a pre-loved dress sold every 60 seconds and a pre-loved shirt every 90 seconds on the e-commerce platform.

Moreover, the company said that Australian brands like Aje, Country Road, and Zimmermann are searched for every 20 seconds on the platform.

In addition, designer labels including Aje, Alemais, Gorman, Scanlan Theodore, and Zimmermann are among the most sought-after brands for women’s dresses on eBay Australia.

“As more Australians discover the joy of shopping pre-loved, brands and resellers have an unprecedented opportunity to fuel industry growth and drive positive change,” said Anne-Marie Cheney, eBay Australia’s Fashion Lead.

“At the forefront of this movement, eBay is empowering buyers and sellers to give fashion a second life, proving that great style should be loved, re-loved, and kept in circulation, never wasted.”

The runway show is among eBay’s initiatives to promote circular fashion.

From May 13 to 16, eBay Australia will host the Pre-Loved Lounge at Australian Fashion Week, an interactive space aimed at promoting the potential of pre-loved fashion and encouraging collaboration with brands interested in recommerce.

Businesses that book one-on-one meetings with eBay during the event will receive a 50 per cent discount on selling fees for their first three months.

“Recommerce is a critical lever in reducing fashion’s footprint, and platforms like eBay are helping to bring that vision to life. Australian Fashion Week shows what’s possible when innovation meets intent, and it’s this kind of leadership that will shape a more sustainable future for fashion,” said Jaana Quaintance-James, Australian Fashion Council CEO.

In 2025, eBay awarded $100,000 to Shopfront through its Circular Fashion Fund to support efforts in reducing textile waste.

It also invested in The Volte in 2023, one of the world’s largest designer fashion rental platforms.
