Domino’s Pizza Enterprises has named Dieter Haberl as CEO for Domino’s Japan, effective October 20.

Previously, Haberl served as president at various consumer brands including Toys R Us Japan, Lacoste, and Reebok Japan.

He also worked as director of finance and administration at adidas, CFO and VP at Gap Japan, and VP of business development and system economics at The Coca-Cola Company.

“Domino’s Japan is a key market for us; we are the leader in pizza in a market that is forward-thinking and appreciates high-quality food, particularly international brands with a reputation for consistently exceeding customer expectations,” Jack Cowin, executive chairman at Domino’s, said.

“Dieter’s experience in businesses known for their quality, and for building brand loyalty among customers, will help drive the next phase of Domino’s success in this market.”

Domino’s Asia CEO and acting Japan CEO Josh Kilimnik will depart the business on March 30, following a transition period.

Kilimnik’s departure follows the company’s decision to reduce G&A costs across the business, including reducing regional leadership structures.

Accordingly, the pizza chain will no longer fill the roles of CEO Asia and CEO Europe.
