Chatswood Chase has officially reopened to the public following an extensive $625 million transformation that redefines the centre as one of Sydney’s leading lifestyle and luxury retail destinations.
The reopening on October 23, 2025 marks the completion of the project’s second phase, revealing the newly redeveloped Ground Floor and Level 2 with more than 60 retailers across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, technology, and culture.
Located in one of Australia’s most affluent retail catchments — where average incomes sit 73 per cent above the national average — the revitalised centre targets the country’s most discerning consumers, positioning Chatswood Chase as a world-class shopping destination. Opening weekend foot traffic is expected to exceed 500,000 visitors.
Anchored by major retailers including Apple, David Jones, MECCA, Country Road, R.M. Williams, and Sephora, the centre also introduces international flagships such as Armani Exchange, Ralph Lauren, Coach, and BOSS, alongside Australian designers Zimmermann and Rebecca Vallance.
“Vicinity’s investment in the reimagination of Chatswood Chase reflects our commitment to creating meaningful retail destinations that are uniquely curated for people who love to shop, dine and be entertained at our shopping centres,” said Peter Huddle CEO and Managing Director at Vicinity Centres.
“Located in the heart of one of Australia’s most affluent and vibrant communities, today’s reopening marks the beginning of Chatswood Chase’s new era, as it establishes itself as a retail destination that delivers a customer experience commensurate with the world’s best premium shopping destinations.”
The opening celebration features a weekend of live entertainment, exclusive retailer offers, and special appearances, including a performance by musician Budjerah. Visitors can enjoy complimentary experiences across the centre, such as matcha at Armani Exchange and floral bouquets at R.M. Williams.
The redevelopment also brings a refreshed design vision inspired by Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, featuring natural materials and collectible-grade craftsmanship by Hegi Design Studio. The “Welcome Home” campaign, shot by local photographer Georges Antoni, captures the centre’s blend of local pride and contemporary luxury.
“Chatswood Chase represents a significant milestone in Vicinity Centres’ strategy to redefine retail as a destination for lifestyle, culture, and community,” said Amy Wotton, General Manager, Brand and Marketing at Vicinity Centres.
“As one of our flagship assets, its redevelopment brings together world-class design, a curated retail mix, and an unparalleled customer experience. The Welcome Home campaign captures the essence of this evolution — celebrating local pride while setting the stage for the future of premium retail on Sydney’s North Shore.”
Phase 3 of the redevelopment, including the unveiling of Level 1, is expected to be completed in early 2026 and will introduce prestigious LVMH brands and global fashion houses. The final stage will cement Chatswood Chase’s position as Australia’s premier destination for luxury retail.
