Two Australian startups — Sydney-based Calyx.eco and Brisbane-based Endua — have been named finalists in the 2025 PepsiCo Greenhouse Accelerator Program Asia Pacific, an initiative aimed at fast-tracking innovation in sustainable agriculture, the circular economy, and climate action.
Calyx.eco provides data-driven insights into the environmental impacts of supply chains for food and beverage companies, helping businesses identify ways to lower their environmental footprint.
“This grant will really help us scale up our efforts to empower food and beverage businesses to be more sustainable,” Lauren Branson, CEO of Calyx.eco, said.
Endua, meanwhile, is developing on-site production of green hydrogen to make sustainable energy solutions more accessible across Australia.
“Grants like this really help us to continue to grow and provide self-sufficient, sustainable and cost-effective energy across Australian industries,” said Paul Sernia, CEO of Endua.
PepsiCo received 45 applications from Australia and New Zealand this year – the second highest number of applications in Asia Pacific and highest per capita.
Each finalist will receive a grant of $31,542, access to PepsiCo’s networks, and tailored mentorship from executives and business acceleration experts.
At the end of the program, one winner will receive an additional $157,000 to further scale their innovation.
The Greenhouse Accelerator, now in its third year in Asia Pacific, has become a major platform for identifying and supporting early-stage startups working on environmental and social challenges.
Other finalists selected for the 2025 cohort include Beijing AIForce Technology Co. Ltd., Beijing Phabuilder Biotechnology Co. Ltd., Guangdong Databeyond Technology Co. Ltd., and Service Enviro SCAD Inc. from China; Bali Waste Cycle (CV Bakti Bumi Berseri) from Indonesia; Circular Unite from Singapore; and DEEGOLABs Inc from South Korea.
This year’s program is supported by partners including Suntory PepsiCo Beverages Thailand, GC Ventures, Circulate Capital, and Plug and Play.
