Melbourne Central’s destination for food and drinks, ELLA, has opened Australia’s first NUTTEA Café – the newest innovators behind the bubble tea trend and the world’s first nut beverage specialist brand dedicated to making greater contributions to health and the environment.

Expanding its global presence to Melbourne, NUTTEA is known worldwide for 100% vegan, nut based mylk tea recipe. The menu is a rotating blend of beverages, disrupting traditional bubble tea with a plant based ‘cream’ such as Matcha with Nut Cream, Banana Oatmeal Nut Mylk and Nutty Americanos.

“We’re excited to finally open our first Australian café in the heart of Melbourne, especially as the hospitality sector looks towards a reopening of trade in time for summer,” NUTTEA co-founder, Jason Tan said.

“This is our first flagship store in Australia and we’re thrilled to call ELLA home to one of the most celebrated vegan bubble tea brands in Asia. Although we are opening during unprecedented times, it has given us the opportunity to offer Melburnians another reason to come back to the CBD and bring Melbourne back to life once restrictions ease.”

GPT Group’ centre manager, Ryan Ling added: “We’re thrilled to see NUTTEA open in ELLA, adding a new dimension to our diverse dining precinct. Our much-loved food culture is an integral part of Melbourne Central and it’s great to see hospitality businesses such as NUTTEA, innovate and adapt to the current climate with contactless pre-order and pick-up alternatives. As restrictions ease in the coming weeks and months, we look forward to welcoming Melburnian’s back into the city.”

Adhering to government restrictions, NUTTEA is currently trading as take-away and delivery. To place an order, customers can visit the store, go to the NUTTEA website or download the NUTTEA app for pre-order and delivery options.
